Being woken up in the early hours of the morning to the sound of breaking glass is not how I wanted to start my day. I would have liked to have seen the culprits caught and charged, but unfortunately for us, they ran like the cowards they are. So instead of seeing justice served, I am here venting my anger and frustration. While writing about this event is not the preferred action I would have taken, it is the only thing I can really do. Plus it helps me to put things into perspective and relieves a little bit of the anger that I am feeling at this moment.
While I'm not one who enjoys seeing someone hurt, I am comforted by the fact that the a*****e in question did not escape unpunished. Though unlikely, I hope that the pain you are in now will teach you not to inflict pain on others. He should count his blessings that he was able to get away this time (with minor injuries). I am assuming the injuries were minor cuts. How he received them is beyond me as he used something else other than his hand to smash our window. Well at least that proves he isn't a total idiot. Mark my words, if you haven't learnt your lesson, you won't be so lucky next time. Our response will be quicker and you will get caught. It would please me ever so greatly that the next time you pay a visit, the guys in uniform will have you charged and held accountable for your actions.
What makes me furious is that this is the second time this year. What is it with our place that attracts these lowlifes? We have never encountered this before. Our street is usually quite and peaceful despite the hoons. Oh! The world we live in...
The upside is that no innocent party was injured. The thought that someone could have easily been though upsets me greatly. The window is one matter but a person's life is another. Other than the obvious concern and that, I am upset that I am unable to go back to sleep. I have work today as well...
